DPDP Compliance
NetSchools India is committed to complying with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), India’s landmark legislation governing the processing of personal data. This page explains how your rights under the DPDP are respected, even though NetSchools India does not collect personal data through user registration or databases.
Scope and Applicability
The DPDP applies to the processing of digital personal data within India, regardless of where the data controller is located. While NetSchools India does not maintain user accounts or collect personal data via forms, we may automatically collect limited, non-identifiable information through website analytics and server logs, such as IP addresses, browser types, and usage patterns. This data is processed solely for website functionality, performance monitoring, and improving educational content.
Your Rights Under DPDP
Under the DPDP, you have the following rights:
- Right to access your personal data processed by us
- Right to correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to deletion of your personal data
- Right to grievance redressal if you believe your rights have been violated
Note: These rights apply only to data that can be linked to you as an identifiable individual. Since we do not store personally identifiable information (PII) beyond transient analytics, most requests will pertain to data that is not retained.
How We Comply
NetSchools India complies with the DPDP by:
- Not collecting or storing names, emails, phone numbers, or other identifiers
- Using anonymized analytics tools that do not track individuals
- Ensuring third-party services (e.g., Google Analytics) comply with DPDP requirements
- Reviewing data processing activities annually to ensure minimal data collection
Data We Process
We process the following types of data under the DPDP:
- Automatically collected IP addresses (anonymized)
- Browser and device information (for traffic analysis)
- Page visit duration and navigation patterns (aggregated)
No data is stored longer than 30 days, and no data is shared with advertisers or third parties for profiling.
Legal Basis for Processing
Our processing of data is based on legitimate interest under Section 5 of the DPDP, specifically to ensure the proper functioning of our educational platform and to improve user experience. We do not rely on consent for this processing, as the data collected is non-identifiable and minimal.
